Greenest City is asking for your support for our Adopt a Garden campaign
Greenest City, part of the West NH, is an environmental program in the heart of Parkdale, a densely populated community in downtown Toronto. Parkdale has over 40% of the population experiencing low income and is a landing place for immigrants around the world. Through working together with the community, the Greenest City program strives to protect the environment and works towards food sovereignty. We are launching our new campaign: -Thriving Earth, Thriving People: Adopt a Community Garden- aimed to support the work we do in three of our gardens working together with over 200 people: Milky Way Garden, Hope Garden and Dunn Learning Indigenous Garden.
Impact of your contribution:
Your generousity will:
Help us in our ecological efforts to green the city, mitigate air pollution and preserve native species, both edible and pollinators.
Make a difference in improving the access of people who are low income to nature, freshly grown food, physical activity and connections to their neighbours - important factors in people’s physical and mental health.
Support the efforts of both Indigenous community members to connect with the land, culture and ceremony, as well settlers, immigrants and refugees - supporting righting relations and truth and reconciliation.
Thank you for standing with our community gardenersh and the eart!
